A dark building looms in the background, possibly the 'Keizersbolwerk' in Vlissingen. The Keizersbolwerk is a fortification from 1548 that was expanded during the French period, giving it its current shape. As a so-called 'Water Gate', the Keizersbolwerk is the only intact city gate that remains in Vlissingen.
