Painting on Canson paper by the artist Pez "Smiling Fish". Unique and signed work, sold with certificate of authenticity and delivered framed under glass. Pez, "fish" in Spanish, began painting in 1999 in the suburbs of Barcelona. He first paint his signature everywhere, and soon that signature turned into a fish. While looking for a universal language to communicate with passers-by, he found a smile. One day, he decided to paint a fish character with a big smile near his name. El Pez was born that way! He found that the huge smile was a way to convey positive vibes to people passing by on the street. In a few years his works were scattered throughout Barcelona, and soon he began to travel and paint in European cities. Thus, he began to be recognized and he improved rapidly thanks to his perseverance in the street and the clear language of the smile. His works are referenced in the most famous street art books: “Street Logos”, “Art of Rebellion”, “Street Art”, “Bcn New York”. . . in specialized magazines, websites and documentary films. In recent years he has exhibited his work in cities such as New York, L. A. Tokyo, Londres, Miami, Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelone, Oslo, Bogota… Today, his happy fish have plenty of friends and a large family of characters easy to recognize by their huge contagious smile!
