Maker: Ph. Hauck

History of Maker: It was only recently discovered that Ph. Hauck produced several clocks often attributed to either Jahresurhenfabrik or Phillipp Haas. Trade press documents indicate that Hauck began making clocks in 1903 and produced 400-day clocks until the outbreak of World War I in 1914. During this time the company was granted several patents for innovations on the torsion clock including a temperature compensating "chronometer" design disc pendulum and a gimbaled upper suspension bracket. Model History & Features: Clocks of this style were only produced for a short period of time and often featured dragons and swans in their ornamentation. The pair of angels serving as pedestals and the crown on this clock were cast in brass in London. Aside from its exceptional design, the clock also features an ornate "Kronen Dreh-Pendel" pendulum.

Running?: Untested

Condition: This clock is composed of 80% original parts. The angels and crown were painstakingly reproduced and cast in brass. The clock lacks a pin for its lower block. Overall, the clock is in excellent condition and shows exceptionally well.

Condition / Notes: The condition of this clock as stated above is accurate at the time of cataloging. The clock may require some adjustment, tuning, or minor maintenance upon receipt.
