Philip LaVerne (American, 1907-1987), Kelvin LaVerne (American, b.1937). Exquisite large Mid Century Modern coffee table by renowned furniture artisans. Circa 1960s "Chan" table embellished with beautiful polychrome coloration. The top is mixed metals with etched scenes of Chinese peasants bearing a sacred gift for the Emperor's child. Measures 17 1/2 in. x 47 1/2 in. Good condition with normal surface wear. Table surface retains the fine polychrome patina. Bronze band needs minor restoration. Hill Auction Gallery will not ship.
