Phoenician Lapis Lazuli Scarab with Pharaoh

6th-4th century BC. A lapis lazuli scaraboid with intaglio image of a standing pharaoh(?) with staff pointing towards a sunburst, tethered hawk on a stand beside him; accompanied by a museum-quality impression. 7.5 grams, 24mm (1"). From the property of a London gentleman; thence by descent; previously in an important private Mayfair, London collection, acquired after 1970.
