A fantastic set of 10 original large-size Aquatints by the Master!

Full unbound in-folio on Velin de Rives paper, in its linen slipcase, including 10 original large-size etchings (Aquatints) outside the text, of whom one frontispiece. Very scarce!
The aquatints illustrated the eponym poem by Pierre Reverdy.
Numbered 193/255 & Hand-signed on the justification page by Pablo Picasso.

"Sable mouvant" is Pierre Reverdy's last poem, considered by the author himself as his poetic legacy. It was published posthumously through this in-folio, in an homage from Pablo Picasso to his late friend. The Art book was published by Louis Broder in 1966, Paris.
The aquatints were engraved by the hand of Pablo Picasso himself, and printed by Crommelynck Workshop. All the engraving plates were scratched after printing, making impossible any modern re-edition. The text was composed by hand and printed by Fequet & Baudier.
