Original and with a strong personality, 'Ouverture' is a sofa designed by Pierluigi Cerri at the beginning of the 1980s. A prototype piece with a strongly technological style, destined to revolutionise the furnishing sector. 'Ouverture' references industrial and metropolitan styles. The protagonist of this seating and table system is in fact a perforated steel beam, like the structure on which soft goose down padding rests. The Ouverture sofa has a shell made of varnished steel profiles, supported by a steel beam that is also varnished like the rest of the structure. The sprung seat is made from elasticated fabric. The seat and backrest cushions are padded with goose feather and have a stabilising expanded polyurethane insert. The sofa is upholstered in Frau® leather.
