Piero Focardi (Settignano, 1889 - Cannes, 1945) , Landscape of Garda, oil on pressed cardboard, size: 12 x 21. 6 cm, signed on bottom right. The work in question belongs to the early period, as evidenced by the signature typical of this phase, with the P upside down and joined to the F in a sort of initial monogram. With coeval gilded frame. Born in Settignano, for the first years Piero Focardi's pictorial activity took place alongside that of his father Ruggero. In the first decade of the twentieth century he decided to move to the Brescia side of Lake Garda, a source of great inspiration for him for a significant part of his pictorial production, as in the case of the work in question. Due to the birth of Fascism he was forced to move to the Ligurian Riviera. Around the 1940s he chose voluntary exile in Cannes to escape Fascism and died there in 1945. The work is in perfect condition and has a splendid chromatic vivacity. With certificate of authenticity and lawful origin.
