Condition Report:
Oil and pencil on cradled panel. The panel is sound. There is an uneven varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating. However, examination under UV light appears to reveal a small spot of retouching towards the center of the upper edge (approx. 2 cm wide) and a few smaller dots of retouching in places notably to the two main character's hats. There is a vertical faint scratch to the left part of the composition (as visible in the catalogue illustration). There are a few pinhead sized chips to the lower corners and towards the upper right corner. This work is in overall good condition.
