A beautifully executed and impressive bronze nude statue from the early 20th century, called Phryné, masterpiece by Pierre Campagne (1851-1910) , the author of this work made in gilt bronze. Pierre Etienne Daniel Campagne was born in Gontaud-de-Nogaret (Lot et Garonne) , student of Falguière, member of the Society of French Artists. His participation in the Salon began in 1889.
