Pierre Paulus is a Belgian expressionist painter and printmaker known as Baron Pierre Paulus de Châtelet, born in Châtelet on March 16, 1881 and died in Saint-Gilles on August 17, 1959. After studying as a surveyor-architect, Pierre Paulus entered the Brussels Academy where he attended courses with Constant Montald from 1898 to 1903. In 1904-1905, he attended courses with the sculptor Charles Van der Stappen. There he met, among others, Rik Wouters, Auguste Oleffe and James Ensor. A scholarship allows him to go to Italy to study the great masters. Private collection - tracked shipping (DHL) and careful packaging.
