A glass vase signed Pierre D'Avesn, molded relief of leaves on the tapered cylindrical body, branching to form handles, raised on a circular foot, molded marks to the base.

Real name Pierre Girre. Considered the elite of the last glassmakers of the Art Deco era.
Pierre d'Avesn was a student of François Décorchemont at the School of Decorative Arts. He joined Lalique where he remained for 10 years. He worked at Daum between 1930 and 1936 where he developed the production of pressed molded glass in the production department.
