um 1925, Metallguss schwarz patiniert, liegende Gazelle in der typisch zurückgenommenen Formensprache des Art déco, auf mehrteiligem Marmorsockel, diese Gazelle Faguays ist bekannt aus der Gruppe "Seduction", in der ein weiblicher Akt die Nase des Tieres streichelt, Sockel mit kleinen Kerben, partiell winzigst berieben, H gesamt 23 cm, L 37 cm. Künstlerinfo: französischer Bildhauer (1892 Nantes bis 1962 Paris), arbeitete auch unter den Pseudonymen Fayral, Laurel und Pierre Laurel, lernte in deutscher Kriegsgefangenschaft die Bildhauer Marcel Bouraine und Max Le Verrier kennen, mit denen er zeitlebens in Verbindung blieb sowie kooperierte, studierte an der École des Beaux-Arts in Genf unter James Vibert, war ein bedeutender Vertreter des Art déco in Frankreich.
