Good condition
Good tension and planarity of the canvasThe original canvas is relined. However, this intervention does not seem to be linked to major damage because no tear could be detectedGood adhesion of the the relining
Presence of a network of age cracks on the moderately marked, including the location of the old chassisVery good adhesion of the pictorial layerPresence of several minor retouching:- left borderupper left corner- upper border-a few spotting points scattered
These retouched are visible to the naked eye because they are oxidized and therefore discolored. They are largely overflowing with the real damage of the work and represent less than 2% of the total area of the painting
Presence of small gaps less than 1 mm on an area of about 3x3 cm in the tree behind the woman in the basket (see photo)The layer of varnish was cleaned which caused a slight wear of the paint layer
This old varnish remains however visible in the form of small brownish spots present in the crevices of the pictorial layerPresence of a satin and transparent homogeneous restoration varnish layer
