Biography Pilar López Báez was born in Madrid in September 1981. She has studied Art History and Fine Arts, graduating in both careers from the Complutense University of Madrid and the CES Felipe II University of Aranjuez respectively. She has completed her training with graphic design studies with the Master in Graphic Design from the CICE Centre for Higher Studies in Madrid. She develops her work around individual memory, collective memory and identity. In her pictorial work, the mixed media generates a complex image where past and present images dialogue with each other. She is currently immersed in a project that proposes a reflection on children's memory as the basis of all memory construction. She has been the recipient of different painting scholarships in Spain and has been invited to participate in others at the European level. She participates in national group exhibitions such as the Espai Cavallers room in Lleida and abroad as in Vicktoria's Gallery in Slovakia and has exhibited individually in galleries such as Espacio 36 in Zamora, as well as in institutional rooms and art academies. Her artistic work has been awarded in various national competitions. Her work is in private collections in Spain, Italy, United States, Monaco, Israel, France. She currently lives and works in Aranjuez, combining her work as a painter with her work as an independent teacher as well as an associate at the School of Art Alda con Limón.
