A single plate from Vedute di Roma [Views of Rome], Piranesi's famous work, first printed in the late 1740s, showing Roman buildings, ruins and monuments, primarily marketed to European visitors on the Grand Tour. Provenance: from the collection of a retired librarian of art and architecture at Columbia University.
Condition Report: In good antique condition, soft vertical crease down the center, light staining in the margins; the sheet appears to have undergone a professional reduction of discoloration at some point.
