Plate - Yoshi on Horseback - Rare Hare Hunting Scene - Chenghua Mark! - Porcelain

A lovely elegantly painted Chinese porcelain molded plate with a central decoration of a hare hunting scene with executed in a lovely toned underglaze blue. In the border a classical decoration of connected Lotus flowers and the Eight Buddhist Treasures, on the backside 16 lotus flower. Handcrafted in ancient China during the Qing dynasty, Kangxi period. This elegant plate is vividly painted with frolicking horses, and a good chemistry between the man and woman. On the back a Chenghua six character mark.

Diameter: 23,3 centimeter.

This plate has many holes in it, this was so it could be used as a floral basket and let the cleansing water go through.

Condition: This object is in overall good condition with some minor wear, mouse bites (one filled) and a hairline. The condition is carefully checked with strong UV-light and bright translucent white light.
