Pocket watch/pendant watch: very rare, square pendant watch in Renaissance style, signed Johann Sigmund Schloer Regensburg, possibly around 1730
Ca. 40 × 40mm, highly decorative brass case with silver fittings, early verge movement with square plate, chain/fusee, foliot, no hairspring, plate signed, iron ornamental elements replaced, decorative original dial and probably original hands, in working order. Although the watch was made in the style of the early 17th century, it was manufactured in the 18th century. The Regensburg watchmaker Schloer is known for many different form clocks, e.g. cross watches, clocks in the shape of books or caskets.
