In 2008, the final Battle Road tournament series took place, as it would be replaced by the Pokémon World Championship Series. The 2008 Battle Road circuit was also the shortest of all the Battle Roads, with only the spring tournament taking place. Offered in this lot is a promotional card from this event: Buck's Training. This Japanese promo card was available through a side event at Spring Battle Road venues known as the Heatran vs. Regigigas One Day Battle. Players were assigned to either the Heatran team or the Regigigas team and would play games with 30-card half decks. The team with the most wins would win overall. All participants in this event received this cosmos holofoil card! The artwork was done by the legendary Ken Sugimori. PSA has certified 71 copies earning a Gem Mint 10 grade.
