Pola Design Amstelveen - Floor lamp - FIRST EDITION (VERY RARE)

Beautiful, stylized, minimalist floor lamp from the Dutch brand Pola Design from Amstelveen (near Amsterdam) . This is not a dime-a-dozen lamp. With this lamp you get an increasingly rare piece of Dutch Design! This floor lamp from the 1980s is the first edition of Pola Design A'veen. Also due to the use of materials and color schemes, this is an absolute rarity among the Pola Design lamps. All parts, including the weighted steel base and the two slender steel uprights, are made of brushed stainless steel in the color black. The lampshades of * alabaster are polished on the top and give the lamp a Mediterranean appearance. * Characteristic of alabaster are the colored veins. The alabaster caps are grey/blue veined. Volterra is the city of alabaster in Europe. It is the only place in all of Italy where alabaster is mined. The adjustable uprights are mounted in a sturdy rubber casing in which they can rotate in all directions. The caps can be adjusted in all directions by means of a ball joint. You can turn the caps with the handles (stainless steel) . This way you keep the caps free of dirt and the risk of damage is minimal. With your creativity you can give this mix of Dutch and Italian Design a different look every time! - Length of the arms: 37 cm. - In the extreme position, the uprights are 142 cm and 165 cm high respectively. - Diameter of the foot: 25 cm. - The undamaged (!) Alabaster caps have a diameter of 16 cm and a height of 9 cm. - Two H4 halogen light points, 12V 50W. Can possibly be replaced by H4-LED lamps. * - Weight 6. 2 kg - The cord (approx. 3 m) is equipped with a perfectly working floor dimmer. *In view of the current high energy costs, it is advisable to replace the current light sources with LED lamps. In short: this patented lamp was an innovative idea, a good design, a satisfactory realization, the harmony between form and function and last but not least: it has a very good price-quality ratio. All factors that played a role in the enormous success of this beautiful lamp! Despite the fact that this is the First Edition (40+ years old) , this lamp is in absolute mint condition.
