Polished Malachite Katanga Copper Crescent Katanga (Shaba) Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaïre) 5.79 x 3.48 x 1.25 inches (14.71 x 8.83 x 3.18 cm) This simply beautiful specimen of polished Malachite from the Congo is obviously special for the rich coloration, incredible "stalactitic" patterning and polished nature. The smooth surface exhibits some rough areas that could not be polished, but the colorful swirling circular designs really cap the piece. [Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
