Special pair of 19th century polished shells that serve as container / jar (e. g. salt or sweets) or as ornament. The shells are polished to their iridescent core (mother of pearl) . The shells may originate from the type Turbo Imperalis. With beautifully decorated bronze frames with grapes, leaves and branches. Placed on a marble base. Made of bronze, marble, shell, mother of pearl. Dimensions: approximately 29 cm in length (placed side by side) x 28. 5 cm height x 16 cm width. Weight: 2867 grams Very nice condition, 1 shell has some edge damage due to the bronze frame, as well as some chips on the marble. The piece can be collected in Schoten, Antwerp, in consultation. The object will be carefully packed and sent with Track & Trace.
