Interessante opera politica, scritta dopo la caduta di Napoleone, in cui sono enunciati in forma di dialogo i principi che rendono legittima la costituzione e garantiscono l’esercizio del potere. Joseph Rey, nato a Grenoble, fu Presidente del Tribunale Civile di Rumilly, avvocato presso la Corte Reale di Parigi, consigliere presso la Corte Reale d’Agen. Compromesso nella cospirazione militare del 1820, evitò la pena capitale emessa contro di lui fuggendo dalla Francia, ove rientrò solo dopo il 1830.

Rare first edition. An interesting political work, written after the fall of Napoleon, in which the principles that make the constitution legitimate and guarantee the exercise of power are set out in the form of dialogue. Joseph Rey, born in Grenoble, was President of the Civil Court of Rumilly, lawyer at the Royal Court of Paris, advisor at the Royal Court of Agen. Compromised in the military conspiracy of 1820, he avoided the death penalty issued against him by fleeing France, where he returned only after 1830.
