In Louis XVI period porcelain from the end of the 18th century.

Orderly decoration of flowers naively executed in 6 colored points, alternated with golden herbs.
Plant frieze treated with gold, gilded fillets on the rim and at the foot. Beautiful, fine model.

Very good condition. Gold wear. Two small chips on the saucer. A little taste of the discreet cooking at the handle.

Stencil mark in red “LXS and M” For Louis Xavier Stanislas MONSIEUR COMTE de PROVENCE, future Louis XVIII

The Clignancourt porcelain factory was founded in 1767 by Pierre Duruelle. The Count of Provence, brother of Louis XVI, patronized the company from 1775. The porcelain pieces manufactured on his behalf are also stamped with his number L. S. X. Duruelle and his son-in-law, Alexandre Moitte, even obtained the privilege of applying gold and polychromy to their porcelain, which was reserved for prestigious factories like that of Sèvres.
