French polychrome porcelain group depicting an interior scene taken from the work of the Flemish painter Gerard Dow entitled: "La Jeune Mère".
The group, with great detail, presents all the elements and subjects present in the painting.
The workmanship and decoration are excellent.

PERIOD: second half of the 19th century.
\r
MARK: Manufacture mark in under glaze blue on the base.

DIMENSIONS: length 21. 5 cm, depth 14 cm and height of approximately 18 cm.

CONSERVATION: the specimen is overall well preserved, however it has some defects.
The candle flame is missing, one of the chair rungs and the seamstress' hand have been reattached, the handle of the bucket and the small wicker basket have been restored. Inside the cradle there are small cooking defects (PHOTO 12) . The photos clearly highlight the extent of these minimal defects.
