Porsche - 356 B T5 - 1961

[ translate ]

Porsche 356 B T5 Hard. Top 1961 car. Car is a very rare model. In fact, only about 1048 units of this particular B T5 Mono-grid bodywork type were produced. It is equipped with a Porsche 1600 cc air-cooled engine, with a power of 75 hp. Ferdinand Porsche entrusted only for 1961 and 1962 the order of this very special car to the coachbuilder Karmann with the commitment to assemble a coupe starting from the base of a Cabriolet car, the latter simply applied to the body one of the options available for the this model (the hardtop precisely) making this particular Coupe/hardtop. The car’s interior space has certainly taken advantage of this, making it in fact more versatile. The process is reversible, removing the hardtop and bringing the car back to its original Cabriolet configuration. This car was completely restored, in all its parts, thus bringing this beautiful model back to its original beauty. The restoration, which lasted over 4 years, involved every part of the car but, as recommended by the current trend in restorations, the attention was paid in overhauling each component while preserving some aesthetic details in view so as to give the visual impression that the car, as far as possible, would look perfectly restored but simulating the ‘vintage patina’ so dear to enthusiasts. Each stage of the expensive restoration, worth more than €50,000, in its various stages of mechanics, upholstery, bodywork and equipment installation, was performed by expert Italian craftsmen. All accompanied by a comprehensive photo shoot of over 4000 photos, provided free of charge with the purchase. The car is in perfect working condition and very reliable, it just travelled 700 km after the engine was fully redone.
