Porter: A Silver Pair Cased Verge Pocket Watch with an Enamel Dial Painted Hunting Scene, signed Wm Porter, Burton, 1777, single chain fusee verge movement signed and numbered 2170, square baluster pillars, enamel painted hunting scene dial with Roman numerals, beetle and poker hands, plain outer case with no marks, inner silver with maker's mark RR and a London silver hallmark for 1777, inside outer case with an embroidered pocket watch paper, 50mm wide, together with a 19th Century Pocket Watch Stand Beneath Glass Dome

Both cases with surface scratches, outer case with no silver marks, dial with some small scratches to the centre, the dial painted scene are clean with no damage, plexi glass is damaged and a piece missing, plexi glass needs replacing, hand setting correctly and winding smoothly, balance is swinging slowly, movement in going order. We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. We cannot guarantee a reply to any requests made within 48 hours of the start of the auction. The absence of a Condition Report from a lot does not mean that the lot is in perfect condition. A Condition Report is an honest expression of our opinion, not a statement of fact and is provided as a service to the seller. All lots are available on public view ahead of an auction and we encourage prospective buyers to inspect an item in person where possible.
