Portrait of Voltaire Vintage Rococo Style Sepia Drawing Framed

Portrait of Voltaire, vintage original sepia drawing on paper, unsigned and undated. It is a genuine artwork, not a print. Framed in a vintage, probably early or mid-20th century syroco-wood glass frame.

The oval portrait is c.7.3/4" x 9.3/4" [19.7cm x 24.8cm]; the frame is c.10" x 12" [25.4cm x 30.4cm]; very good condition.

Francois-Marie Arouet (1694-1778), known by his nom de plume Voltaire, was a French Enlightenment writer, historian, and philosopher.

Looking for the signature on the back of the artwork, we examined this portrait outside of its frame. After our examination, we can warrant that it is not a print but an authentic hand painted artwork.
