Portrait of an Official, Continental, possibly Ireland, 19th century

Portrait of a smiling gentleman wearing a wig. Oil on canvas on keyed bracket stretcher, no signature found, framed in a wide gilt frame, overall 35" x 30 ¼". Label on stretcher from a Dublin storage contractor "...Beatty Ltd". Other markings from old continental auctions.

Condition: Extensive restoration and inpainting, relined. Patches seen verso. Frame has been painted over with gold tone paint.
