Portuguese School, late 18th/early 19th Century- Portrait of Dom Caetano, Archbishop of Braga (1740-1805); oil on canvas, inscribed 'O Snr. D. Fr. / Caetano. Arc. B' (upper left), 80.6 x 61.6 cm. Note: After the original painting, housed in the Hospital de São Marcos, Braga, Portugal. Dom Caetano was the 107th Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Braga in Portugal, in office in 1790-1805. He was also a member of the Third Regular Order, founded by Francis of Assisi in 1221 .
