Pair of post Civil War cartridge boxes including: 1.) Cartridge box containing fabric loop compartments for twenty four rounds. Front of box embossed with "US" in oval with stamp marking beneath "WATERVLIET ARSENAL". 2.) Flip open cartridge box with leather loops for thirty rounds. Reverse of box marked "JOSIAS KING'S PAT. NOV 15 1870, W.M. TILESTON ASSIGNEE" and also "AGENTS SCHUYLER, HARTLEY & GRAHAM, NEW YORK". Both boxes exhibit some wear to leather and straps. Provenance: Eugene T.
