Collection of post-Civil War military photography including: 1.) Photograph of Co. K, 39th Michigan Volunteers taken in 1898. Photograph is matted and measures 9.5" x 10.5" and shows 76 members of the unit (including 2 buglers) with all dressed in uniforms in a tropical environment. 2.) Framed photograph of 7 members of the 32nd Michigan regiment standing in front of their tents. Soldiers are in uniform wearing full marching kit with 2 stands of rifles in front of them. Photograph measures 7" x 9" (sight) and is housed in frame measuring 12" x 13.5". 3.) Group of full standing Spanish-American War period sailors and US Navy officers in front of building. The group of 12 sailors and 3 officers present a bugler and 7 armed sailors. Photograph measures 7" x 9.25". 4.) Photograph of 38-armed late 19th century soldiers in front of building. Many soldiers are wearing Mills belts with "US" plates. Photograph measures 5" x 8" and mounted to 8" x 10" board. Photograph exhibits some abrasions. 5.) Photograph of 13-Pennsylvania National Guard (NGP) soldiers in front of tent. Photograph from late 19th/early 20th century measures 8" x 9.5" and mounted on a chipped 10" x 12" board. 6.) Photograph of 13 soldiers of the 2nd Pennsylvania National Guard (NGP). Soldiers hold shovels, cups, a chicken, a dog, a lantern and other items. Photograph from late 19th/early 20th century measures 4.75" x 6.75" and mounted on a 6.5" x 8.5" board with corner chip. 7.) Photograph of 15 soldiers in camp. Photograph from late 19th/early 20th century measures 6" x 8" and mounted on a 7" x 10" board. Photograph is light with poor contrast. 8.) Oval portrait of a Spanish-American War period soldier full standing with rifle, bayonet, Mills belt and wearing hat. Photograph measures 8" x 5.5" and is mounted on board measuring 9" x 7". Subject is identified on reverse in ink " Phil Signer, Corporal Co. H, 16th Penna.". 9.) Portrait of full standing Spanish American War period soldier with pack, rifle, canteen, Mills belt and wearing hat. Photograph measures 6.5" x 4.5" and is mounted to 10" x 8" board. 10.) Portrait of 29 members od Company F, 3rd United States Infantry taken at Fort Snelling, Minnesota in 1896. Photograph measures 6.5" x 9" and is mounted to a 8.5" x 11" board.
