Post-War Military Drum: Boston

Nice little snare drum by the firm "J.C. Haynes and Company" out of Boston. The drum measures 8.5 inches tall by 12.5 inches wide. All components are original including the tension ears, rims, heads, snares, and brass tension screw. The only thing that is not original is the rope, which has been replaced with twine. There is no damage to the shell.

The heads have no damage or splits. Label is clear inside the drum. The firm existed during the American Civil War and regimental drums have surfaced with this firm's label, however, this particular drum likely dates to the last quarter of the 19th century.
