Postmodern Two Drawer Geometric Pattern Accent Chest

A contemporary two-drawer accent chest or bachelor's commode, featuring a bold postmodernist aesthetic. The piece is constructed with a mixed-media surface design characterized by an asymmetric composition of geometric and textured panels. The front and side surfaces include sections of black and cream vertical striping, metallic-toned panels embossed with a repeating rosette or leopard-spot pattern, and smooth-finished geometric segments in shades of brown, black, and gold. The two drawers are flush-mounted with rectangular drawer fronts and are fitted with centrally located spherical brass-toned pulls. The chest is supported by four scalloped legs made from separate hammered or dimpled metal plates secured to the body of the cabinet. The top and side panels continue the abstract geometric theme with inlaid and applied surface treatments in silver, gold, and earthy tones. The Chest measures 26 x 18 x 12 inches.
