Made by Winchester Repeating Arms according to serial number in 1938. Gun has 28" blued Winchester Proof Steel marked round barrel with Lyman 77 front sight and removed rear sight and standard address with "22 Long R." caliber marking. Correct blued receiver with detachable 5 round magazine and extra single shot magazine. Crisp proof marks showing burnishment under light. Action has 20x steel tube "Sure Shot" by Davis Optics of Winchester, Indiana target scope with crosshair reticle and steel scope caps. Correct Speed lock bolt and trigger. Walnut plain standard marksman stock with checkered steel marksman style buttplate, blued barrel band and sling swivels. LOP: 13-3/8". CALIBER/GA: 22 Long Rifle. S/N: 42729A. FFL: Curio & Relic.

90% plus blue with light handling marks. 90% varnish with some light usage marks. Excellent bore and mechanics with scope clear but some dark patches in field. Needs to be professionally cleaned.
