Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Featherweight Bolt Action Rifle in 30-06 Springfield Caliber
Made by Winchester Repeating Arms according to serial number in 1955. Gun has 22" blued Winchester Proof Steel marked barrel with correct stippled ramp front sight and fold down rear sight and standard address markings with "30-06 SPRG" caliber marking. Barrel has standard 4 groove rifling. Correct black oxide bluing with tapered tang receiver. Receiver is fitted with Bausch and Lomb Balvar 8 scope. Correct matching serialized bolt with three position safety and hollow bolt handle. Blued hinged detachable aluminum floorplate with serrated trigger. Walnut hand checkered 18 line per inch checkered Monte Carlo stock with oval grip, aluminum checkered buttplate and factory bow sling swivels with Non-factory leather sling. 90% original blue with handling and edge wear. Bolt handle starting to wear to a silvery patina. 90% + varnish with hunting dings and marks with sharp checkering. Excellent bore with good mechanics with scope having clear and functioning optics.
