Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Standard Weight Bolt Action Rifle in 220 Swift Caliber
Made by Winchester Repeating Arms according to serial number in 1959. Gun has 26" frosted Winchester Proof Steel marked stainless steel barrel with correct stippled ramp front sight and empty rear boss and standard address markings with "220 SWIFT" caliber marking. Correct black oxide bluing and tapered tang. Receiver is fitted with Weaver V 9-1. Correct matching serialized bolt with three position safety and hollow handle bolt. Blued hinged detachable steel floorplate with serrated trigger. Walnut hand checkered 18 line per inch checkered Monte Carlo stock with plastic checkered buttplate and factory bow sling swivels. 90% metal finish with light handling marks with bolt handle fading slightly. 95% varnish with some flaking around edges with some small scratches and dings on rest areas on underside of fore stock. Excellent bore and mechanics with clear optics.
