Pre Civil War Bell Crown shako featuring front octagonal/rectangular brass plate featuring American eagle measuring 4.5" x 3.5". Shako features brass chin strap with chain decoration. Interior of shako presents manuscript ink tag of owner's name "D C Hulburn". Interior of shako exhibits cotton sweat band that shows wear, staining, and slight degradation. Brim of shako exhibits brass reinforced edge (some looseness). Shako lacks pom pom. Provenance: Eugene T.
