Pre-Civil War United States Washington Greys (Philadelphia) crossbelt plate (circa 1830/40's) in oval featuring bust portrait of George Washington facing left. Plate measures 3" x 2.25". Plate exhibits toning with slight remnants of gilt and presents 3 mounting loops on the reverse. Provenance: Eugene T.
