Pre Civil War Saber

Pre Civil War Eagle Head Saber measuring 33" (blade 28"). Blade exhibits bluing and gilt with maker's name "UPSON & CO., N.Y.". Sword presents fluted bone grip with eagle head pommel and "D" guard. Sword is accompanied by partial leather scabbard (missing portion from middle mount to throat). Provenance: Eugene T.
