An original pre Civil War 32 star American flag 1858-1859. Machine made by Annin in NYC. The additional two stars were hand sewn on after 1861 because Oregon and Kansas became states. The header and brass grommet markings signified the flag was a 10 footer and flown from a town hall. Now 5' x 9'
