Pre-Civil War US Shako Plate
Pre-Civil War United States military/militia shako plate (circa 1820's) featuring eagle on shield backed with flags, cannon, muskets, swords, lances and cannon balls. Plate measures 6" x 4.75" and lacks reverse mounting loops and plume holder. Plate exhibits some slight bends, a dent at lower right , and mounting hole at bottom of shield.
