Pre-Columbian, Costa Rica, Guanacaste / Nicoya region, Age unknown. Expertly carved and string-cut from a stunning piece of white jade with amber and pale brown veining, a face profile pendant presenting a prominent nose, almond shaped eyes. Very tall headdress with hair at sides of face. Hole at top of headdress for wearing. Size: 3 1??2” inches tall by 3??4” wide. Provenance: Private collection of Enrique Cardenas Olaya
