Moche Seated Chief Pottery Vessel. Peru. Ca. 500 - 700 A. D.

A moche bichrome anthropomorphic vessel representing a dignitary wearing a crowned headdress with a jaguar head in the center. It has disc earrings and holds a necklace of cowrie shells

Dimensions: 31,00 cm.

Condition: Professionally Restored over original fragments ( see pictures) Good overall condition

Provenance: Estate of David Sheridan, Branchburg, NJ. , acquired 1950's to early 2000's, by descent to family.

Notes:
- The piece will include authenticity certificate and export license ( Passport for European Union) .
- If the piece goes outside the European Union a new export license will
be requested by us, This process can take beteen 1 and 2 months.
According to Spanish legislation, items sent outside the European Union
are subject to export taxes and will be added to the invoice, at the
buyer's expense. These export fees are fixed on the final auction price
and the tax rate is not applied directly on the total value of the item
to be exported, but rather the different percentages by sections are
applied to it:
