Pre-Columbian. Nicoya Stone Amulet / Axe God Celt. With Spanish Import License. Amulet

Pre-Columbian, Costa Rica, Guanacaste/Nicoya Region, ca. 300 to 500 A. D. A gorgeous celt, skillfully carved and string cut from a beautiful piece of grey stone. The form depicts a schematic antropomorphic figure with hands meeting across the chest and open feet above the celt-shaped blade below. The head with headband decorated with incised chevrons; the face with drilled eyes, wide nose and thin mouth. Centrally drilled on the uppert area for attachment or suspension. The reverse has a slight ridge from hewing out of a larger rock and / or carving.

Dimensions: 13,20 cm.

Condition: Small surface wear. Excellent condition.

Notes:
The Ministry of Culture from Spain asks all sellers for invoices or other documentation able to prove the legality of each item before providing an import or export license.

Spanish Export License ( Passport for European Union) . This process can take between 2 and 4 weeks.
- If the piece goes outside the European Union a new export license will
be requested by us, This process can take beteen 1 and 2 months.

are subject to export taxes and will be added to the invoice, at the
buyer's expense. These export fees are fixed on the final auction price
and the tax rate is not applied directly on the total value of the item
to be exported, but rather the different percentages by sections are
applied to it:
- Up to 6,000 euros: 5%. / From 6. 001 to 60. 000 euros: 10%.
- Shipped with Insurance.
