Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Chorrera culture, ca. 800 to 500 BCE; Ecuador, Guangala culture, ca. 100 to 500 CE; West Mexico, Nayarit culture, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A set of 5 hand-built pottery artifacts from 3 distinct Pre-Columbian cultures. First is a Guangala grayware head decorated with a thick septum ring. Next are 2 petite Chorrera figures, one seated and one standing. The largest artifact is a Nayarit pottery female figure seated upon 4 nubbin legs. Size of largest (Nayarit figure): 2.5" L x 2.4" W x 4.3" H (6.4 cm x 6.1 cm x 10.9 cm)

Provenance: ex-collection of the late Peter Arnovick, San Francisco, California, USA, acquired before 1995
