Prehistoric, Iron Age Iron Iberian fluffed knife

“Afalcatado” (curved) Iberian knife made of iron with the same technique and way in which the famous Iberian falcatas were made. This type of knives were very important within the Iberian culture and were used both in combat and in sacrificial rites. (see additional photographs of votive offerings wielding knives used for war and sacrifices) This specimen, rare due to its excellent preservation condition, has a very sharp half-moon type curve in its leaf and still retains rivets where the scales of the same would be attached, today absent because they are perishable material. S collection Condition: very good preservation condition, professionally treated and preserved so that it does not acquire corrosion. Small reinforcement in the curvature so that it does not stick.
