Offered here for your consideration is a prehistoric Pinto polychrome bowl. Pinto polychrome is one of the earliest examples of the Roosevelt redware tradition. This large bowl is slipped with a traditional red color and then decorated on the inside only with white and black geometric patterns. An interesting bowl for your collection!
MAKER: Unknown.
APPROX AGE: Prehistoric - circa A.D. 1280 to 1330.
SIZE: Measures approximately 3 1/2 inches deep x 7 3/4 inches across.
CONDITION: As found with some restoration expected. This pot has not been subjected to a black light or any other tests, other than visual by us, so the existence or extent of any possible restoration is unknown. Buyer is responsible for determining this to their satisfaction before bidding. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
