An unusual world map that shows California as an island and a rudimentary form of Australia, which appears attached to New Guinea. Also of interest is the partially delineated Compagnies Land that appears in North Pacific Ocean, separated from Hokkaido (here 't Land Esonis) by Vries Strait (Straat de Vries). Tucked into the cusps of the double hemisphere map is a very inventive depiction of the earth as it would be seen from space if the oceans were drained. Allegorical female representations of the four continents with their animal escorts are arrayed at the bottom of the map.
