Prince 1985 Purple Rain Tour Tambourine

Prince 1985 Purple Rain Tour Tambourine W/Notarized Letter of Provenance - This purple double-row tambourine with 10" open head was used during Prince's 1985 Purple Rain Tour, during the Houston, Texas show on January 14th at the Summit. The tambourine comes with a notarized letter of provenance from a concert attendee, who was in 8th grade at the time, who caught the instrument when Prince threw it into the audience. The letter states in part, "I was so excited, and hat to smuggle it out to my car under my shirt so that I wouldn't get mobbed." The concert goer adorably wrote on the inside of the tambourine in pencil, "Prince Concert Mon. Jan. 14, 1985, my 2nd concert," and kept it as a memory for the past 40 years, never offering it for sale.
